Why
Recently merged improvements to the homepage, 92-app catalog, four editorial guide pages, and TaleTime/Debate Me/PawTrace/Face Reaction Battle support pages were still represented in
sitemap.xmlwith older lastmod dates (Aug 18–Nov 6). This obscures recrawl signals and makes deployment verification less reliable.Change
Update exactly 10 canonical sitemap
<lastmod>values to2026-11-07; do not wholesale bump all 319 URLs.Add a read-only production smoke check that flags stale/missing timestamps for these 10 URLs and accepts later lastmod dates after future genuine page revisions.
Update existing growth smoke fixture and add two negative tests (stale and missing sitemap entry). Add four offline sitemap structural/freshness tests.
Verification and limits
GitHub source comparison validated 319 unchanged URLs with no duplicates, exactly 10 date-only modifications, and 10/10 valid timestamps. Checked Python regex source, test fixture and test module source.
New/updated Python regression tests are not executed in the isolated container; GitHub Actions not used. No production deployment, GSC reindexing or traffic growth asserted.
lastmodrepresents changes in repository source, not proof the production host has published them. Revalidate deploy commit and live sitemap before Search Console resubmission.
