IMDb Extractor is an open-source browser extension designed to extract movie and TV show data from IMDb without requiring API keys, account tokens, or third-party servers.
While IMDb does not provide a native one-click export for watch history, check-ins, or complete list metadata, this tool automates page traversal and client-side extraction to generate clean, structured datasets formatted for spreadsheets, note-taking applications (Obsidian, Logseq), and developer workflows.

imdb-extractor-v1.0.0.zipfrom the Latest GitHub Releases. - Extract the downloaded ZIP archive into a folder.
- Open your browser and navigate to the extensions page:

- Toggle on Developer mode (top-right corner).
- Click Load unpacked (top-left) and select the extracted folder.

about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox, click Load Temporary Add-on..., and selectIMDb_Extractor/manifest.json.
- Navigate to IMDb: Open any supported IMDb list, watchlist, or your watch history page in your browser.
- Open Extractor: Click the IMDb Extractor (🎬) icon in your browser toolbar.
- Configure Options:
- Choose your preferred Export Format (Markdown, CSV, JSON, Text, or HTML).
- Toggle desired Metadata Fields (or use Select All / Clear).
- Export: Click Scrape & Export.
- Download: The extension will automatically scroll through the list, collect all titles, and trigger the file download.
