**Updated November 1, 2026:** Rivet 3.0 is out of preview. Install the latest release to get it. Multi-region, serverless, and ACLs are still coming to 3.0 in an upcoming release, so stay on Rivet 2.x for now if you depend on them.

Today we're releasing a preview of **Rivet 3.0**, built on a new storage engine called **WarpDrive**.

WarpDrive gives every Rivet Actor **bottomless storage on S3 with the speed of an SSD**. It also leaves **S3 as Rivet's only dependency**, so Rivet now runs as **one stateless binary**.
