I build healthcare software, mostly the hard-to-see parts: EHR integrations, FHIR APIs, and the plumbing that gets data where it needs to go. These days I'm especially interested in putting AI into real clinical workflows without breaking them.
- Now: Partner at Keta, a healthcare technology company in New York and Tokyo, and lead architect for JupyterHealth, an open source platform from UC Berkeley and UCSF that connects wearable and clinical data
- Background: 20+ years as a full stack engineer and architect, including six at Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian. HL7 FHIR R4 certified
- Open source: JupyterHealth Exchange, a Medplum JP Core setup for Japan's national FHIR profile, and older healthcare projects over here
- Writing: Posts on keta.nyc, plus a few older pieces for Towards Data Science and Better Programming on Medium
