Bash script to format a block device (hard drive or Flash drive) in UDF. The output is a drive that can be used for reading/writing across multiple operating system families: Windows, macOS, and Linux. This script should be capable of running in macOS or in Linux.
Create bootable USB drives on macOS — a Rufus-style tool. Linux/general images + Windows 10/11 install USB. Native Swift/SwiftUI, no daemon, no Full Disk Access.
Tests USB sticks, SD cards and disks for fake capacity, data loss and speed: h2testw plus a quick capacity probe, raw mode and reports. Windows, Linux, FreeBSD.
Windows-native bootable USB & disk image writer. Flash ISO/DD images to USB drives, verify byte-for-byte with SHA-256, wipe (NIST/DoD), back up and clone drives. Portable single exe, open source, MIT.
USB flash drive and SD card tester for Windows. Catches fake capacity by writing real data and reading it back, then checks speed, finds duplicate files, compares and copies folders, and wipes free space to make recovery harder. Windows GUI plus command line, free and open source.
Flash bootable ISO/IMG to USB on Linux, with exclusive device locking, O_DIRECT aligned writes and byte-for-byte verification. SD cards and gzip/xz/bzip2/zstd images supported.
wlvl is a Linux userspace daemon written in Rust. It puts a virtual block device (/dev/ublkbN) in front of a raw SD card or USB stick, remaps chunks so that logical write hot-spots (filesystem journals, FAT tables, superblocks) do not keep landing on the same physical sectors, keeps per-chunk wear and health statistics on the device itself.
