📌 Overview

This tool calculates distance conversions between different measurement units. The software provides a visual interface for users to input numbers and see results instantly. You do not need to understand programming code to use this application. The program handles all math calculations in the background.

⚙️ System Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM or higher.
  • Storage: 100 MB of free disk space.
  • Software: Python 3.14.5.

  5. The application window appears on your screen.

🔢 Using the Interface

The interface features two main boxes for your values.

  1. Type your number in the input field.
  2. Select the starting unit from the first dropdown menu.
  3. Select the target unit from the second dropdown menu.
  4. Press the Convert button to see the result.
  5. The result shows in the output box immediately.
  6. Clear the fields to start a new calculation.

🛠️ Common Troubleshooting

If the application does not open, check these items:

Check the Python version. This tool requires version 3.14.5. If you have an older version, remove it and get the correct one. Ensure you added Python to your system path during installation.

If the window looks large or small, verify your monitor display settings in Windows.

If you see an error message about missing libraries, open your command prompt. Type pip install tk and press Enter. This command downloads the visual interface tools required for the program.

📂 Features

  • Converts miles to kilometers.
  • Converts feet to meters.
  • Converts inches to centimeters.
  • Handles decimal numbers for precision.
  • Includes a reset button for quick work.
  • Operates on a simple visual layout.
  • Works offline after the initial download.

🖥️ User Tips

Keep the application folder in a place you can reach, like your Desktop or Documents folder. You can create a shortcut to the file on your Desktop. Right-click the file, select Send to, and choose Desktop (create shortcut). This provides one-click access to the calculator.

If you plan to use this often, leave the application open in the background. It consumes very little memory.

The application uses the Tkinter framework. This is a standard part of Python and ensures the program remains lightweight on your computer resources.

🛡️ Privacy and Safety

This software runs locally on your machine. It does not send your data to any servers or websites. Your conversion history stays on your computer. You do not need an internet connection to use the calculator after the setup is complete.

⚖️ License

The software is open source. You may view the code, modify the settings, or share it with others. The project goal is to provide a reliable tool for students and general users who need fast unit math.

🏗️ Future Updates

The project team focuses on stability. Future versions may include more units like maritime miles or astronomical units. Check the repository link frequently for any available updates or improvements to the visual interface.

📝 Contact

If you encounter issues beyond the items listed, search for similar problems on standard technical forums. Since the code is open source, others may have found solutions to common Windows configuration tasks. Follow the provided link to submit bug reports if you know how to track repository issues.
